What was it like to fly over Nazi Germany in the four engined 'heavies of Bomber Command during World War II? What did it take for pilots to earn their wings and fly on bombing raids in the dark of night? The Nanton Air Museum captures the grit and courage of bomber command air and ground crews with educational exhibits and tours. The museum features a Lancaster Bomber, which is a Canadian built World War II Airplane. This bomber played a major role in the air offensive against Nazi Germany. The airplanes of the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan of Southern Alberta are also featured. A gift shop on site and guided tours are available.
